Race Description
The Ravenna Half Marathon, takes runners through a city that was three times the capital of the Western Roman Empire and is home to eight UNESCO World Heritage monuments. Starting from Pala De André, the flat and fast course winds through the heart of Ravenna, passing the glittering Byzantine mosaics of the Basilica di San Vitale and the Mausoleo di Galla Placidia, Via di Roma with the Basilica di Sant'Apollinare Nuovo, the Battistero Neoniano and the city's ancient historic centre, finishing at the Museo del MAR on Via di Roma. The race is part of a spectacular weekend welcomes participants across all distances. The race weekend also features a Family Run, a Dogs and Run event, a Shake Out Run on the Saturday, and the Correndo Senza Frontiere race for athletes with disabilities.
