Lyon Half Marathon

The Run in Lyon Half Marathon takes runners through some of the most historic and scenic areas of France’s third-largest city. The race starts near the Palais de Justice before guiding participants along the quays of the Saône River, offering long waterfront sections through the heart of the city. After reaching the northern turnaround point, the course returns along the opposite bank of the Saône, giving runners a second perspective of the riverfront and the surrounding historic neighborhoods. Along the way, participants experience a mix of riverside boulevards, historic architecture, and lively central streets. The course finishes near Place Bellecour, the largest pedestrian square in Europe. The route is predominantly flat and fast, with only gentle inclines along the riverbanks and city streets.
