Cologne Half Marathon

The Cologne Half Marathon takes runners through the historic streets of one of Germany’s oldest cities, combining riverside scenery with some of Cologne’s most recognizable landmarks. The race begins near the Rhine River and follows a route through several central districts before returning toward the waterfront finish area. Parts of the course run along wide roads beside the Rhine, offering open views of the river and Cologne’s skyline. The route also crosses the Rhine via one of the city’s bridges, giving runners a panoramic perspective of the cathedral towers and the historic waterfront before returning to the city center. Along the way, participants experience a mix of central avenues, riverside sections, and historic streets. The terrain is predominantly flat and fast, with only gentle elevation changes mainly associated with the bridge crossings.
