Race Description
The Stramilano Half Marathon is one of Italy’s oldest and most traditional road races. The course runs through central Milan, beginning near the historic city center and passing several major boulevards and public squares. Runners move along wide urban streets that provide long straight sections throughout the race. The route is generally flat, making it suitable for runners aiming to maintain a consistent pace across the 21.1 kilometers. Along the way, participants pass areas close to Milan’s historic districts before finishing in the central Piazza Castello near Sforza Castle. Large crowds gather along the main streets and near the finish area to support runners. The combination of a historic city setting and a straightforward course has helped maintain the race’s popularity.
