Rock 'n' Roll San Diego Half Marathon is a cornerstone of the original Rock 'n' Roll Running Series, famously blending a scenic tour of San Diego's iconic neighborhoods with the series' signature live music entertainment at every mile. The course starts near the Spanish-colonial beauty of Balboa Park and winds through Hillcrest and downtown, finishing at Waterfront Park with views of the San Diego Bay. While it features a net-downhill profile, it is deceptive; runners face rolling terrain throughout, including significant late-race challenges that require disciplined pacing.
