Race Description
The Rio Tinto Brisbane Half Marathon is an annual 21.1km road race through the heart of Brisbane, forming part of Australia's longest-running marathon festival. Starting on Margaret Street in the Brisbane CBD, the course winds through the city before finishing at the scenic City Botanic Gardens. Runners pass iconic landmarks including the Story Bridge, Kangaroo Point Cliffs, and New Farm, while tracing the Brisbane River with picturesque views throughout. The route is predominantly flat with mild undulations, though a steep 300-metre hill near the end provides a final challenge before the finish line.
