Race Description
The RBC Brooklyn Half is one of the largest half marathons in the United States and follows a point-to-point route across several Brooklyn neighborhoods before finishing by the ocean. The race typically begins near the Brooklyn Museum and Prospect Park before runners enter the park for a full loop along its rolling interior roads. After leaving the park, the course continues south along long straight avenues such as Ocean Parkway. This second half of the race is almost entirely flat and offers long uninterrupted sections that allow runners to settle into a steady pace. The final kilometers lead directly to the Atlantic coast, where runners finish along the Coney Island boardwalk beside the beach and amusement park. The combination of park running and a fast coastal finish makes the course distinctive.
