Race Description
The Maldives Half Marathon is one of the world's most exotic and unique half marathon settings, held on the low-lying coral islands of the Maldives in the Indian Ocean. The race brings together thousands of runners from across the world for an early morning start, taking advantage of the cooler pre-dawn hours before the tropical heat of the day sets in. The course runs through the streets of Malé and the reclaimed land of Hulhumalé, offering a completely flat route at sea level surrounded by the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. The event spans eight race categories including the half marathon, 15km, Tough Ten, 5K Fun Run, Kids Mile and a dedicated 5km Wheelchair Race.
