Luxembourg Half Marathon

The Luxembourg Half Marathon forms part of the Luxembourg Night Marathon and follows a loop through Luxembourg City’s modern districts and historic valleys. The race usually starts and finishes near Luxexpo in the Kirchberg district before descending toward the city center and the deep valleys that surround it. Runners cross several bridges and pass areas near the old town, including sections with views of the Alzette valley and historic fortifications. The course profile is notably rollinh, with several climbs and descents as the route moves between plateaus and valleys. These elevation changes make pacing more challenging than on flat city courses. Running through illuminated streets and lively neighborhoods gives the event a unique atmosphere as runners cover the 21.1 kilometers through Luxembourg’s distinctive landscape.
