Race Description
The London Landmarks Half Marathon is a closed-road central London run and the only half marathon to pass through both the City of London and the City of Westminster, welcoming over 20,000 runners and 80,000 spectators each year. It is a 100% not-for-profit event supporting 500+ charities. Runners set off outside Whitehall, taking in the stunning sights of historic Westminster before heading down the Embankment and experiencing spectacular views of the landmarks along the River Thames, then soaking in the old and new of the City before making their way back to the finish line. The route passes iconic sights including Big Ben, St Paul's Cathedral, Nelson's Column, the Gherkin, the Shard, the Tower of London and the London Eye. Themed "the grand, the quirky and the hidden", the course also showcases the capital's lesser-known gems such as Guildhall Art Gallery and London's Roman Amphitheatre, the Bow Bells and historic Roman Baths, with Bowler Hat send-offs, choirs singing West End classics, live music performances and fun activations throughout.
