Race Description
The Lausanne Half Marathon follows a scenic route along the northern shore of Lake Geneva, connecting the city with the vineyards and lakeside towns of the Lavaux region. The race starts at Place de Milan and quickly descends toward the lakeshore before joining the waterfront roads that run east along the lake. The route reaches its eastern turnaround point near Cully, after which runners return along the same lakeside road toward Lausanne. Much of the course runs directly beside the lake, offering open views across Lake Geneva and the Alps. The course profile is gently rolling, following the natural contours of the shoreline. Elevations range roughly between 370 and 410 meters above sea level, resulting in approximately 80–90 meters of total elevation gain across the 21.1 kilometers. In the final kilometers, runners return toward the Lausanne waterfront, finishing at Place / Esplanade de Bellerive Plage beside the lake.
