Race Description
The Björn Borg Helsinki Half Marathon follows a flat and fast route through the vibrant streets and picturesque waterfronts of Finland’s capital. The race starts and finishes at Meripuisto park, taking runners on a single-loop tour of downtown Helsinki. Runners follow long stretches along the Baltic Sea coastline before weaving through urban neighborhoods, green city parks, and past modern Nordic architecture. The terrain is highly accessible with virtually no significant elevation gain, making it an excellent course for maintaining a fast, steady pace. The mix of fresh coastal air, sleek city design, and bright mid-summer light creates a dynamic and energetic urban course.
