Hamburg Half Marathon

The Haspa Half Marathon Hamburg covers the first half of Germany's largest spring marathon course, offering runners the full atmospheric experience of race day in Hamburg over 21.1 kilometres. Participants run along wide boulevards and pass iconic sights such as the Elbe River, the Alster and the harbour, all set against Hamburg's maritime charm. The half marathon course initially overlaps with the marathon course before half marathoners split off, meaning runners share the electric start-line atmosphere with the full field. The whole city pulses with the rhythm of the runners on race day, with numerous spectators lining the streets and dozens of events alongside, including exhibitions, children's races and live music. The race is part of a full weekend that includes the Das Zehntel children's race on the Saturday and a large running expo at the Hamburg Messe convention centre.
