Race Description
The Füssen Half Marathon follows a varied loop course through the historic streets and natural scenery of Bavaria, Germany. The race starts on Kemptener Straße before heading through Füssen’s bustling old town, over the Lech River, and into King Ludwig II’s Schwansee Park. Runners follow forest and lakeside paths with views of both royal castles, including the famous Neuschwanstein, and the surrounding Alps. The course completes a 10.5-kilometer circuit before returning to the start/finish area, and runners complete this loop twice. The terrain features moderate rolling hills with about 90 meters of elevation gain per lap. The mix of lively historic streets, peaceful alpine lakes, and castle views creates a highly scenic and dynamic course.
