Race Description
The Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon is a highly sought after point to point race that serves as the beloved opening act for the Grandma's Marathon weekend in Duluth. Named after an Olympic runner who helped popularize the sport in Minnesota, this incredibly popular race sells out rapidly every year due to its breathtaking course along the scenic shores of Lake Superior. Runners enjoy a beautifully rolling and fast route on Old Highway 61 that ultimately converges with the marathon finish line in Canal Park, all while experiencing the legendary crowd support and festive community energy that define the weekend.
