Comacchio Half Marathon

The Comacchio Half Marathon is one of Italy's most distinctive and scenic half marathons, taking runners through the unique lagoonal landscape of the Po Delta and the ancient canals of one of the Adriatic coast's most evocative historic towns. The course touches the best that the territory has to offer, the valleys, the historic centre with its narrow alleyways and canals, and the long canal of Porto Garibaldi with its characteristic fishing boats, before runners race alongside the Adriatic Sea and return to the city. At kilometre 10 runners can admire the Loggiato dei Cappuccini and the Basilica di San Cassiano, around kilometre 13 they pass under the Torre dell'Orologio and cross the Ponte degli Sbirri, passing in front of Palazzo Bellini and along the Valle Molino canal before returning to the finish area via Via Marina. The course is rich in history and nature, with the flamingos and typical fishing structures of the Po Delta valleys as a backdrop, making it genuinely unforgettable.
