Calgary Half Marathon

The Centaur Subaru 21.1 km is a scenic, festive half marathon that takes runners through Calgary's vibrant inner-city neighbourhoods, with boisterous visual and musical entertainment along the way. Whether setting out with pals on a social run before hitting the beer gardens or going it alone aiming for a personal best, this fast inner-city course delivers plenty of scenery, entertainment and so many participants that you will never be alone in your quest for the finish line. The route passes through diverse neighbourhoods, city parks and along the scenic Bow River, with views of Calgary's modern skyline and the distant Rocky Mountains on clear days. First held in 1963 and hosted annually since 1971, the Calgary Marathon race weekend is Canada's longest-running marathon event, and the half marathon is its flagship distance.
