Race Description
The Bucharest International Half Marathon follows a central route through Romania’s capital, starting near Constitution Square beside the Palace of the Parliament. From there, runners follow wide boulevards through several central districts and historic avenues of the city. The course passes landmarks such as Calea Victoriei and large government buildings before looping back toward the start and finish area. The route is mostly flat with long straight sections that make pacing relatively straightforward. Wide roads help accommodate the large number of participants who take part each year. Spectators gather along central sections of the course to support runners as they pass through the city’s main avenues.
