Race Description
In 2027, the prestigious European Running Championships head to the Balkans, coinciding with the historic 40th anniversary of the Powerade Belgrade Marathon. This extraordinary festival-style event offers recreational and mass-participation runners the rare opportunity to race on the exact same course and weekend as Europe's elite athletes competing for the continental title. The urban route beautifully links two sides of the city, taking runners from the hilly, historic streets of Old Belgrade across sweeping river bridges to the flat, modern boulevards of New Belgrade. With an electric atmosphere, massive spectator support, and the prestige of a European Championship, it promises to be one of the most significant running weekends in the region.
