Race Description
The Zurich Marathon takes place in Zurich, Switzerland, and follows a scenic route along Lake Zurich and through several districts of the city. The race starts in central Zurich and runs south along the eastern shoreline of Lake Zurich toward Meilen before returning to the city. Large portions of the course run directly alongside the lake, offering long uninterrupted sections on flat lakeside roads before the route returns through the urban center toward the finish. The race is typically held in April, when temperatures are usually cool, often around 8–15 °C.
