Race Description
The MANN-FILTER Zaragoza Marathon has grown with support from the city council into the most important athletic event in Aragon. The course was significantly redesigned to be less tough and more attractive than ever, offering 42 unforgettable kilometres through a millennial city, with start and finish at Plaza del Pilar, the iconic heart of Zaragoza. The course passes through the Expo Zone, the Roman Walls, the Central Market, and the central axis formed by Plaza de España, Paseo de Independencia and Plaza de Aragón, as well as emblematic streets like Don Jaime I and Coso. New iconic points of Zaragoza added in 2026 include the Puente del Tercer Milenio, the Puente de Piedra, the Bullring and Paseo de la Constitución, while the most demanding section, the climb from Tenor Fleta to the Imperial Canal, was moved forward from kilometre 32 to kilometre 17, allowing runners to tackle it with fresher legs.
