Race Description
The Torino City Marathon takes runners through the historic streets of Turin, Italy’s first capital, showcasing the city’s elegant boulevards, royal architecture, and industrial heritage. The race starts and finishes in Turin at approximately 238 m elevation, creating a largely balanced course profile. The route passes landmarks linked to the House of Savoy and modern symbols of innovation such as the Lingotto district and the historic Fiat factory, while also running through some of the city’s green areas. The course is generally flat with gentle rolling sections, reaching its highest point of about 263 m around km 18 before gradually descending toward its lowest point of approximately 214 m near km 37 and rising slightly again toward the finish. With long straight roads and minimal elevation changes, the race is considered one of the fastest marathon courses in Italy. The event typically takes place in late autumn when conditions are cool and favourable for racing, with average temperatures around 7–15°C (45–59°F).
