Race Description
The Sydney Marathon delivers one of the most iconic courses in the world, combining landmark views with a challenging rolling profile. Starting near North Sydney, runners cross the Sydney Harbour Bridge early in the race, offering panoramic views of the Opera House and harbor. The course then winds through the city center and western districts, featuring a mix of long climbs, descents, and undulating roads. The middle section includes sustained hills around areas like Oxford Street, while the later stages pass through Centennial Park with continued rolling terrain. The final kilometers return toward the harbor for a scenic but demanding finish.
