Race Description
The Stockholm Marathon offers a scenic but undulating course through Sweden’s capital, spread across multiple islands connected by bridges. Starting in the city center, runners pass historic landmarks such as the Royal Palace, Gamla Stan (Old Town), and the waterfront areas that define Stockholm’s layout. The course features a mix of urban streets, park sections, and frequent bridge crossings, which create a rolling profile throughout. The most challenging section comes in the second half, with a series of sharper climbs between approximately 25 km and 30 km. The race finishes inside the Olympic Stadium, providing a memorable end to a technically demanding course.
