Race Description
The Salt Lake City Marathon takes place in Salt Lake City, Utah, with a point-to-point course that begins in the Wasatch Mountains and descends toward the city center. The race starts at an elevation of approximately 1,471 m and follows a predominantly downhill route through the foothills and residential neighborhoods before entering downtown Salt Lake City. After the early descent, the middle portion of the course includes several rolling sections before continuing gradually downhill toward the finish. The race finishes in the downtown area, resulting in a significant overall net drop across the course.
