Race Description
The Rostock Marathon takes place in the historic port city of Rostock on Germany’s Baltic coast. The race starts and finishes on the Haedge Peninsula at Rostock City Harbor. The course follows the banks of the Warnow River and passes through several parts of the city before heading toward the Warnow Tunnel. Runners pass through the tunnel and continue through the green spaces of IGA Park before returning toward the harbor. The route combines waterfront paths, city streets and park sections, offering a varied urban course. Known for its maritime setting and relaxed atmosphere, the event attracts runners from across Germany and beyond. Supportive spectators gather along the harbor and key sections of the route. With its river views and coastal character, the Rostock Marathon offers a distinctive running experience in northern Germany.
