Race Description
The Rhodes Marathon takes place on the Greek island of Rhodes and offers runners a scenic coastal race through the historic island capital. The course starts and finishes at Eleftherias Square in the center of Rhodes at an elevation of approximately 10 m. The route consists of two identical half-marathon loops, running along the waterfront roads and through parts of the city before extending onto the New Ring Road of Rhodes toward Kallithea and Ialyssos. Runners pass landmarks such as Mandraki Marina and sections of the historic harbor while enjoying views of the Aegean Sea. The course is mostly flat with gentle rolling sections, making it suitable for runners aiming for steady pacing and personal bests. Certified by AIMS and World Athletics, the race attracts international participants who combine running with the island’s historic atmosphere and coastal scenery.
