Race Description
The Pittsburgh Marathon takes place in Pittsburgh, USA, and is known for its dynamic course that crosses several of the city’s iconic bridges while showcasing its diverse neighborhoods. The race begins downtown and quickly takes runners across multiple rivers, offering views of the city skyline. Early kilometers are relatively flat as the course winds through central districts and across bridges. Around the halfway point, the course features a sustained climb into neighborhoods such as Oakland and Squirrel Hill, representing the most challenging section of the race. After reaching the high point, runners descend gradually back toward downtown. The final kilometers flatten out as the course returns to the city center for the finish, with strong crowd support throughout.
