Race Description
The Phoenix Marathon offers a fast point-to-point course through the Phoenix metropolitan area, making it one of the popular Boston Qualifier races in the United States. The course starts near Deer Valley Towne Center at approximately 410 m elevation and finishes near Priest Drive at around 370 m, resulting in a gradual net downhill profile. Runners travel through several parts of the city while following sections of the Arizona Canal Trail and passing areas such as Camelback Road and Papago Park before finishing near Phoenix Municipal Stadium. The route is known for its wide roads, long straight segments, and gentle downhill trend, helping many runners achieve personal best times.
