Race Description
The Philadelphia Marathon offers a fast and scenic course through one of the most historic cities in the United States. Runners pass iconic landmarks such as the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Boathouse Row, and the Schuylkill River, with large portions of the race taking place along flat river paths. The course is known for its smooth flow and crowd support early on, before transitioning into quieter out-and-back sections in the second half.
