Race Description
The Parma Marathon takes place in the historic city of Parma in northern Italy and follows a loop course that starts and finishes at Parco Ducale della Cittadella on Via Passo Buole. The route runs through the heart of the city and surrounding areas, allowing runners to experience Parma’s rich cultural heritage, including elegant historic streets, green spaces, and landmarks in a city widely known as Italy’s capital of food and opera. The marathon is part of a larger event that also includes 32 km, 24 km, and 10 km races, making the weekend accessible to runners of different levels. The course has long straight sections and gentle rolling terrain. The race typically takes place in October with mild autumn temperatures that often range between 6°C and 18°C, creating favorable running conditions.
