Race Description
The Monschau Marathon takes place in the scenic Eifel region of western Germany. The race starts in the village of Konzen and finishes in the historic town of Monschau. The course runs through forests, stream valleys and open meadows typical of the Eifel countryside. Runners pass picturesque villages and quiet rural roads while experiencing dramatic elevation changes along the route. Known as one of the most challenging road marathons in Germany, the race features several long climbs and descents through the rolling landscape. The route also passes through the charming old town of Monschau, famous for its half-timbered houses and narrow streets. Strong local support and enthusiastic spectators create a lively atmosphere throughout the race.
