Race Description
The Marburg Night Marathon offers runners a unique evening race through the historic university city of Marburg in central Germany. The race begins at Marburg’s Market Square (Marktplatz) and finishes at the University Stadium on Jahnstraße. The course initially winds through the picturesque old town and city center before following long stretches of cycling paths along the Lahn River. With views of Marburg’s skyline, including the Landgrave’s Castle and the Gothic St. Elizabeth’s Church, runners experience the city illuminated at night. The flat circuit (Start ~220 m, Finish ~182 m) is designed for both beginners and experienced runners aiming for fast times. Known as the largest running event in the region, the race attracts participants who enjoy combining scenic running with a lively evening atmosphere.
