Race Description
The Lake Garda 42 Marathon is a point-to-point race along the western and northern shores of Lake Garda, one of Italy's most spectacular alpine lakes. The marathon (42 km) starts at the lakeshore in Limone sul Garda and heads north along the famous Gardesana road with the lake on one side and dramatic mountain cliffs on the other, before passing through the historic center of Riva del Garda and continuing through the orchards of Arco. Runners then follow the eastern shore south through Torbole before finishing in the picturesque lakeside town of Malcesine, beneath its medieval Scaliger Castle. The course is largely flat with approximately 180 m of elevation gain, making it well-suited for personal bests.
