Race Description
The Hannover Marathon takes place in Hannover, Germany, and follows a loop course through the city center and surrounding districts. The race starts and finishes in the central area of Hannover and runs past several of the city’s main landmarks, including the New Town Hall (Neues Rathaus), Maschsee Lake, and the Herrenhausen Gardens area. The route mainly follows wide city streets and passes through both urban neighborhoods and green park areas. The course profile is very flat, with a total height difference of only about 19 meters, making it one of the flattest marathon courses in Germany.
