Race Description
The Hamburg Marathon takes place in Hamburg, Germany, and is known for its fast course and strong crowd support throughout the city. The race starts on Karolinenstraße near the Hamburg Messe. The route passes through landmarks such as the Fish Market, the St. Pauli Landungsbrücken, and views of the Elbphilharmonie, HafenCity, and the historic Speicherstadt. The course reaches its northernmost point in Ohlsdorf before turning back toward the city center. In the final kilometers the route passes Harvestehuder Weg along the Alster and Dammtor before finishing back on Karolinenstraße near Planten un Blomen park.
