Race Description
The Graz Marathon takes place in Graz, Austria’s second-largest city, with the start and finish located in front of the Graz Opera House. The course follows a two-lap route through the historic city center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Runners pass elegant squares, historic streets and modern districts while experiencing the vibrant atmosphere of the city. The route also includes scenic sections along the Mur River, offering views of Graz’s architecture and riverfront promenades. Known for its lively crowds and festive race weekend, the event attracts runners from across Europe. The relatively flat course and well-organized race make it accessible to both competitive and recreational runners.
