Race Description
The Dallas Marathon is the largest marathon in Texas and one of the longest-running marathons in the United States. The course starts in downtown Dallas at approximately 131 m elevation and finishes in downtown Dallas at around 137 m, following a loop route that showcases many of the city’s neighborhoods and landmarks. Runners pass through areas such as Uptown, Highland Park, and White Rock Lake, where scenic views of the lake provide one of the highlights of the race. The course features several rolling hills, particularly in the early miles and again around the White Rock Lake section, making it moderately challenging compared with flatter city marathons. Known for its energetic crowds and well-organized event, the Dallas Marathon attracts runners from across the United States.
