Race Description
The Cleveland Marathon takes place in Cleveland, Ohio, and offers a varied course that highlights both the city’s downtown and its lakeside setting along Lake Erie. The race typically starts in downtown Cleveland and heads through several neighborhoods including Ohio City, Tremont, and University Circle. Early kilometers are relatively flat before the course features some rolling sections as runners move through residential areas and parks. Mid-race, participants pass cultural landmarks such as the Cleveland Museum of Art and Case Western Reserve University. Portions of the route run near Lake Erie, providing open views and long straight sections.
