Race Description
The Berlin Marathon is one of the flattest and fastest marathon courses in the world, making it a prime venue for personal bests and world records. The route is a single-loop course through the wide, smooth streets of Berlin, passing iconic landmarks such as the Brandenburg Gate, Victory Column, and Potsdamer Platz. Elevation remains remarkably consistent throughout, with only minor undulations and a gentle rise around kilometers 25–30, peaking at just over 50 meters. The start and finish are at nearly the same elevation, and the long, flat stretches allow for steady pacing. Combined with excellent road surfaces and strong crowd support, Berlin is widely regarded as one of the best courses globally for fast times.
