Runners experience the remote beauty of the Australian Outback with views of Uluru, sand dunes and expansive desert plains. The route includes sections of graded dirt roads, bush tracks and soft sandy terrain typical of the region. Small dunes and gentle rises appear along the course, but the overall profile is considered relatively flat. The race passes desert landmarks and remote tracks while showcasing the dramatic scenery of central Australia.
