The Asunción International Marathon (MIA) is Paraguay's premier running event and a major highlight on the South American calendar. The flagship full marathon begins early in the morning along the beautiful Costanera de Asunción, taking runners on a two-lap journey through the historic and culturally rich streets of the capital. Certified by AIMS and World Athletics, the event is organized by the Paraguay Marathon Club and is part of the prestigious Mega Finisher circuit. With a passionate local atmosphere, excellent organization, and a course that blends the modern riverfront with historic architecture, it offers an unforgettable racing experience in the heart of Paraguay.
