Race Description
The Abu Dhabi Marathon is one of the fastest marathon courses in the Middle East, taking runners through the wide boulevards and waterfront areas of the UAE capital. The course starts in Abu Dhabi at approximately 3 m elevation and finishes at around 12 m, following a loop route through several districts of the city including areas near the Corniche and the central business district. Runners experience long straight roads and smooth pavement with only very gentle elevation changes, making it a favorable course for fast times. The flat terrain, modern skyline views, and coastal sections give the race a distinctive urban atmosphere.
